Description

Metal Primer is a single-component, waterborne primer designed to promote strong adhesion on properly prepared metal surfaces. Formulated for use with Safe Deck Coating topcoats, it helps create a durable base layer before applying the finished coating system. Suitable for metal substrates, including aluminum and steel. Its single-component formula requires no additional additives and can be applied by spray, roller, or brush depending on project size, surface condition, and application requirements.

Additional Information

PMR-02 Metal Primer is a single-component primer designed for metal surfaces, including aluminum and steel.

Mixing: Stir or mix thoroughly until the contents are evenly distributed before application.

Application: Apply one uniform, full-coverage coat using a 3/8” nap roller, brush, or spray equipment.

Dry Time: Allow 1–4 hours before applying Safe Deck Coating, depending on surface conditions and primer film thickness.

Weather Conditions: Do not apply if rain or dew is expected before the primer has fully dried. Avoid high humidity above 90% RH and do not apply when the surface temperature is below 40°F / 4°C. Keep temperatures within the recommended range for at least 8 hours after application.
